Local search SEO has become an entire new game these days and the increasing use of mobile devices should play a big part in your local strategies.  One of newest trends is the amount of people searching for a local service that use the “near me” phrase in their search.  But this is not for mobile alone as we are seeing many searches from desktops that are using this phrase as well.

Our latest customer, Roberts Automotive, located in Mountville, PA is a full service auto repair shop that also specializes in repairs of German made cars.  They offer many services from oil changes and inspections to transmission rebuilds.  Their customer base is obviously local so finding highly searched terms for their services can be challenging.  Auto repair is a big one however with 170 searches per month in their area.  But auto repair is not an easy term to get ranked on the first page, so instead we focused on “auto repair near me” which has half the amount of searches but is much easier to get ranked.

We found other variations such as mechanic near me which we used on the about page along with the keyword mechanic.  For example: With over 90 years of combined automotive experience, their master mechanics possess the tools, knowledge, training, and skills to help solve the toughest problems correctly the first time.
